LOCATION

The historic Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Airport is known as one of Southern California's premier venues for charity, corporate and private events. The dramatic ceiling vaults to an impressive 43 feet at the center, providing an arched steel truss over a 150- by 234-foot polished cement floor. The 35,000 square foot hangar combined with a total of over 97,000 square feet of additional exterior space, make the Barker Hangar one of the most versatile venues in Los Angeles.

The Barker Hangar is conveniently located just two miles from the I-10 and I-405 freeways, and just minutes from cultural landmarks such as LAX Airport, the Pacific Coast Highway, the J. Paul Getty Museum, Bergamot Station and the Santa Monica Museum of Art, the Santa Monica Pier, and 3rd Street Promenade. Santa Monica neighbors the Cities of Beverly Hills, Century City, Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Culver City and Marina Del Rey.

MUSEUM GROUPS

The organizers of Art Platform - Los Angeles engage concerted outreach to over 1500 museums from the world’s premiere art and cultural institutions.  Members of local and international museums are offered exclusive access to the fair, programs, docent-led tours, and the opportunity to attend events included in our extensive VIP program.

DOCENT TOURS

Art Platform – Los Angeles 2011 introduced the ART TOURS Program organized by Erbe Art Projects, after its great success with our sister fairs – The Armory Show®, VOLTA and Art Toronto. The program featured a team of qualified professionals to guide groups through a curated selection of the fair’s many established and emerging galleries. We will continue to offer 45-60 minute tours of the fair which can provide a general overview of how to navigate an art fair, focus on a particular theme such as tips on collecting, targeted tours of specific media, genre or price points, or a history of art in L.A.
